Consiguiendo un total de 40 reconocimientos, los artistas de Sony Music se llevan el mayor número de premios y más que ninguna otra compañía en los Premios Billboard de la Música Latina 2016.
Entre los ganadores, Enrique Iglesias y Nicky Jam consiguieron siete premios cada uno, coronándose como los grandes triunfadores de la noche. Otros ganadores de la noche también fueron Gente De Zona, Gerardo Ortíz, Joan Sebastian, Marc Anthony, Pitbull, Romeo Santos, Shakira y Víctor Manuelle entre otros. Además, los artistas de Sony Music fueron de lo más comentado y ofrecieron las presentaciones más impactantes de la velada. Como parte del tema del evento “Duetos”, Nicky Jam hizo equipo con Zion & Lennox con una inolvidable puesta de su sencillo “Hasta El Amanecer.” Gente de Zona y Farruko se juntaron en “Algo Contigo,” mientras Víctor Manuelle y Yandel pusieron a la audiencia de pie en el debut de su sencillo “Imaginar.” Marc Anthony y Natalia Jiménez entregaron un poderoso homenaje con algunos de los más importantes temas de Marco Antonio Solis, entretanto Luis Coronel compartió un tema junto a Jesse & Joy. Ha-Ash incendió con su sencillo “Lo aprendí de ti” al lado de Kany García, Fanny Lu, y el pianista Arthur Hanlon. Por su parte, Gerardo Ortíz y Alejandra Guzmán se unieron a dueto con “Fuiste Mía.”
